METALYX is a broad-spectrum fungicide formulated as a Wettable Powder (WP). It combines metalaxyl, a systemic fungicide, with mancozeb, a multi-site contact fungicide, to deliver both preventive and curative disease control. Unlike single-mode fungicides, this dual-action formulation provides internal protection and a surface barrier against infection.

METALYX works by affecting fungal development at multiple levels.

  • Systemic action: Metalaxyl is absorbed and translocated within the plant to control pathogens from inside.

  • Protective contact action: Mancozeb remains on the plant surface, preventing spore germination.
