PYRAFEN is a fast-acting herbicide formulated as a Suspension Concentrate (SC). It contains pyraflufen ethyl, a contact herbicide used for desiccation and control of broadleaf weeds. Unlike systemic herbicides, this product acts rapidly on green plant tissues, providing quick visible results.

PYRAFEN works by disrupting plant cell membranes at multiple levels.

  • Contact action: Acts directly on treated foliage, causing rapid tissue damage.

  • PPO inhibition: Blocks protoporphyrinogen oxidase, leading to membrane destruction.

  • Rapid desiccation: Quickly dries down weeds and treated plant parts.

  • Minimal translocation: Acts mainly at the site of contact for fast effect.
